Kop-Flex built its reputation on disc couplings for high-speed, high-torque rotating equipment — turbines, compressors, and extruders — where shaft misalignment has to be absorbed without backlash or the maintenance a gear coupling needs. The disc pack itself does the flexing; there's no lubrication to service.
GDS Supply stocks complete Kop-Flex disc coupling assemblies as well as individual hubs, sleeves, and disc pack replacement kits, so a worn disc pack doesn't mean replacing the whole coupling.
